The renowned institute Parwati Prema Jagati Saraswati Vihar
is situated in the serene surroundings of Nainital.
Vidya Bharati
is grateful to the reputed Jagati family, which donated
21 acres of land for establishing the school dedicated to
education with moral values and ethics on 24th July 1983,
the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima.
Mrs. Parwati Devi
(the mother of Mr. Narendra Lal Shah Jagati) was deeply
pleased after donating the land for such a noble cause.
Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti, Uttar Pradesh
, gave the school its name —
Parwati Prema Jagati Saraswati Vihar Senior Secondary Residential
School.
The very ambiance of the Himalayan region is conducive to the development of
noble traditions, fine qualities, and a well-integrated personality. A child
growing up in this environment can never come under the morbid influences of
the outside world. Educationists have chosen hill stations like
Shimla, Mussoorie, and Nainital
for establishing residential schools to preserve our national heritage,
moral ethics, and patriotic spirit in the youth, as these regions offer a
calm and quiet atmosphere — ideal for meditation and the pursuit of
knowledge.
After conducting several experiments in the field of education and
establishing quality institutions, Vidya Bharati aspired to
set up a residential school in the hill region. The school was intended to
give a new direction to the young generation and to shape their
personalities in harmony with the culture and traditions of India. All
students are nurtured with moral education, inspiring them to dedicate
themselves to the service of the motherland.
